Preventing the spread of infection
- Many infectious diseases are spread in the air by coughing
and sneezing. So teach your children to cover their mouth when
coughing and sneezing, and how to use a tissue when blowing
their nose.
- Teach them to wash and dry their hands after using the toilet.
- Wash hands after touching a sick child and before preparing
food.
- Don't put other children in the sick child's bed.
- Immunise your children.
If your child has any of the illnesses listed
above, inform the school, and all the people they have been in
contact with, from the time of exposure to the time of illness. |
